I.Purpose and Implementation Standards

This product is designed for use in AC medium-voltage power systems ranging from 3 to 66 kV.It serves to protect electrical equipment from damage caused primarily by switching overvoltages generated by vacuum circuit breakers,while also providing lightning protection capabilities.Mainly employed in power plants and industrial electrical systems,it safeguards transformers,circuit breakers,busbars,motors,generators,transmission lines,capacitor banks,and other electrical equipment by limiting both lightning-induced and switching overvoltages,ensuring reliable protection for electrical installations.

II.Model Selection

Users can choose appropriate overvoltage protectors according to the different electrical equipment being protected,with voltage levels including:3.3kV,6kV,10kV,35kV,and various specifications and applications available for selection.

III.Structural Features and Installation Dimensions

This product adopts a four-star connection structure,with overvoltage protectors A,B,C,and D connected via high-voltage cable leads,significantly reducing the phase-to-phase distance.Due to its symmetrical design,any three of them can be connected to phases A,B,and C respectively,with the remaining one grounded.

IV.Usage Conditions:

The normal operating conditions for the regular products are as follows:

1.Ambient temperature:-40℃to±50℃;

2.Altitude:Not exceeding 3000m;Maximum wind speed:35m/s;

3.Power frequency:58～62Hz(for 60Hz systems),48～52Hz(for 50Hz systems);The installation site should be free from chemical corrosive gases,vapors,and explosive dust in the air;

4.The long-term applied power frequency voltage shall not exceed the continuous operating voltage of the protector;for products with gaps,the short-term power frequency voltage rise at the installation point shall not exceed the rated voltage of the protector.

5.For long-term use under abnormal conditions,special production of the protector is required,which should be specified when ordering;

This product can be equipped with automatic control devices,such as discharge recorders,to clearly monitor operational status.It can also be configured with an automatic disconnection device,which isolates the equipment from the power grid in case of overvoltage or fault conditions,ensuring normal operation.
